Alternative health care products are more main stream than ever before in the history of medicine and threatened more than ever before. According to a news article published by Mike Adams on April 11, 2007 at Healthy.net, here's the full link to the article, http://www.healthy.net/scr/news.asp?Id=9071, the "FDA has plans to reclassify virtually all vitamins, supplements, herbs and even vegetable juices as FDA-regulated drugs. Massage oils and massage rocks will be classified as "medical devices" and require FDA approval.", I'm not surprised about this. Getting FDA approval on vitamins and supplements to ensure their safe for use by the consumer is one thing, but if the FDA decides to regulate and classify them as drugs to outlaw them then you and I should be seriously concerned for the future health of this country, physically, mentally and economically. Companies like East Park Research and their distributors offer natural health products such as olive leaf extract not known to be a danger and then there are companies that offer acupuncture and Chinese herbs both for healing and preventing disease. Why does the FDA want more control over this? I have my opinion, but I will keep it to myself for the moment. I will say that we as alternative health consumers and practitioners in the "United States of America" should stand up for what is best for us and our children's future... our health and most importantly our freedom.
